Traditional T-shirt quilts:

I did NOT make this quilt.  This picture was borrowed off the internet.  It is intended to be used as an example of how your T-shirt quilt will look.

For this type of quilt the T-shirts are stabilized and cut up into different sizes and sewn together using a traditional domestic sewing machine not a longarm.  The top is then loaded onto my longarm and quilted.  I prefer wrap around binding, but separate binding can be added.

Non Traditional T-shirt quilts:

I load the backing and batting on the longarm, and stitch the T-shirt pieces together on the longarm.  The quilt is then stitched down with an edge to edge design.  Yarn is then stitched over the exposed T-shirt edges.  I prefer to wrap the backing around and stitch it down to make wrap around binding, but separate binding can be added.  The yarn is thick and adds texture to the quilt.

These first two pictures show up close how the quilt looks with the E2E and the yarn.

These next two pictures are borrowed from the internet.  I do not know who made them.
