I will sandwich your quilt. You bring me the backing, batting, and top. Backing fabric must be at least 4 inches bigger than your quilt top all the way around so that I can quilt the entire quilt. You may stitch an additional 4 inches on the sides of your backing (these are called leaders) if needed or I can stitch them on and remove them when the quilting is finished for an additional fee.
I will measure your top. I offer edge to edge designs, computerized designs, and ruler work.
I only machine stitch binding. I stitch it on the back fold it over and stitch it down on the front. I have also trimmed the back down to one inch bigger than the front and batting and have folded that in half and then folded it again over the front of the quilt to create a fold over binding. Please see sample pictures.
I love to add a label to all my quilts. Usually I take about a 8 inch square and fold it in half. I baste it in one corner so that when the binding is sewn on, it will be sewn in place. I use a special marker for labels to write information on them.
I do provide Hobbs 80/20 batting at this time.
